Improving your ATV

Average Traction Value (ATV) or Average Order Value (AOV) is sometimes overlooked when looking to grow e-commerce revenue. Increasing your ATV onsite can add incremental revenue to a business without having to pay to acquire additional traffic as you are increasing the spend of your current users.

Having a strong ATV strategy can also effectively increase your ROAS of your digital marketing channels. This is something the team and I are very focused on at the moment across our channels. Some key ways we look to increase our ATV onsite and improve our online revenue are:

⚡ Create a free delivery threshold with key messages to encourage increased spend

⚡ Tier that strategy with adding value by offering a free gift with purchase if the customer spends over a higher threshold

⚡ Quick add options at basket to inspire additional product adds to basket

⚡ Cross sell and upsell - show 'you may also like' products or bundle options. Customers are more likely to buy similar items together.

⚡ X and Y promotion structures, encourage users to buy multiple products to obtain a discount.
